Somerset Cider Brandy Co 3 Year Old Ice Cider Cask RMW Exclusive

A quite unique cider brandy, produced by the Somerset Cider Brandy Company, and specially selected for our sister shop Royal Mile Whiskies. Aged in casks that previously held Ice Cider, which givers fruit, creamy notes, and body to this tasty drop. Equally good as a winter warmer, or in a mixed drink as a summer aperitif.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose –  Fresh apple and pear hit the nose immediately, which break into a rich, and slightly sweet, fermenting cider note. With a little time in the glass and a drop of water, bright and tart cooking apple notes come through, nosing a little like Lanson Champagne.

Palate –  A mouth-coating, oily feel which spreads red and green apples acros the palate, underpinned with vanilla and oak. With a drop of water, red apple flesh and a full creaminess come into play.

Finish –  Light oakiness and more fermented fruits, leaving a little creamy vanilla and apple puree combination to linger.
